Julie Elmlinger is President of Brightstone Trust Company. She also heads the Group’s legal affairs.

With more than ten years within the firm, she knows every dimension of it. Before joining in 2014, she spent some twelve years in business law and securities at national law firms including Norton Rose Fulbright and McCarthy Tétrault. Julie has chaired or served on several boards of directors, including those of the Orchestre Métropolitain and the OFF.T.A. festival, as well as IGOPP’s young executives committee. She is the author of numerous publications and has lectured on business law and securities. Julie is also a member of Women4Climate. An avid reader, she has a passion for philosophy, economics and politics.

He is a member of the Quebec and Paris Bars and has professional experience in both Quebec and Europe. Philippe holds a Juris Doctor in North American Common Law and a Masters in International Business Law from the University of London (UK). He is also a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP). In his spare time, you’re likely to find Philippe enjoying outdoor activities or defending the goal in a field hockey match. Passionate about politics, he is particularly interested in the major issues facing society today, whether over a meal or in lively discussion.

Sylvain Guénette is Vice-President, Finance, and heads custody operations as well as the accounting services offered to clients.

He brings more than five years of experience within the firm. Before joining in 2020, Sylvain held Vice-President, Finance roles and other senior financial positions with a range of companies, including American Iron & Metal, Labopharm and various companies within the Quebecor group. His entrepreneurial side led him to co-found a pharmaceutical company in 2013, where he still serves as a director. Sylvain likes to spend his free time with family and friends over a good meal, or playing one of the many sports he takes up.

Patrick Gonzalez oversees the financial and transactional operations of our trust clients. He holds a Bachelor’s in Political Economy from the University of Neuchâtel (Switzerland) and brings more than 25 years of experience in banking and depositary financial services for individuals, companies and trusts, in Switzerland and Canada. Across a range of institutions, he has held roles as a corporate credit advisor, investment advisor and relationship manager, before joining the firm in 2015. In his spare time, he enjoys reading and film, as well as outdoor activities such as airsoft.

Odile Filiol holds a Master’s in International Economics from Université Paris I – Panthéon-Sorbonne. She began her career in Europe at LVMH, before moving to Montreal to work in real estate and then within a single family office, where she became well versed in managing complex wealth structures. She now oversees the work of external accounting firms for the accounting and tax compliance of trusts, and values precision, transparency and the quality of professional relationships. Curious about major sociopolitical and international issues, Odile is a committed walker, finding in it a valued space for reflection and balance.

With close to 10 years in finance in Belgium, first as a savings and investment advisor at KBC, then in asset management at AG Insurance, the country’s largest insurer, Radoua brings sharp expertise in financial operations and trust mechanisms. A Bachelor of Business Administration graduate with a specialization in marketing, she also oversees the firm’s brand presence, combining financial discipline with brand intelligence. An experienced traveller who completed a round-the-world trip with her family before settling in Montreal, she divides her time between open spaces, turquoise waters and culinary discoveries.

Within the trust team, Marie-Josée oversees complex files involving corporations and trusts holding exceptional assets: real estate, works of art and collectibles. An attentive guardian of best practices, she works closely with the compliance team, responding to verification requests and helping uphold our policies and procedures. Painting lets her express her artistic side, while gardening offers her a space of calm, patience and inspiration.

A graduate in accounting sciences from Université du Québec à Montréal and a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), Magalie Chaperon brings more than 25 years of experience in the securities and financial institutions sector. Specializing in international taxation, she has deep expertise in compliance with complex regulations, including FATCA and CRS. She plays an active role in managing the tax, operational and regulatory matters tied to custody. A passionate traveller who has visited six continents, Magalie combines intellectual curiosity with a strong capacity to adapt.

Ji Min Li excels at identifying inefficiencies and implementing process improvements. Before joining the firm, he spent five years with a Montreal fintech company, advising on the continuous improvement of an investment accounting automation application. A seasoned strategist during the week and a chicken keeper on weekends, Ji enjoys balancing complex projects with the simple pleasures of a sustainable microfarm.

Before joining the team, Matthew spent seven years in wealth management at CIBC, RBC and SS&C, including roles as a Bloomberg administrator and performance analyst. He has built strong command of the technology tools used across the financial sector. A CFA candidate, he holds a Bachelor of Commerce with a double major in finance and accounting. A keen outdoorsman, Matthew spends his weekends fishing.

Methodical and thorough, Adja brings more than 10 years of experience in regulatory compliance, anti-money laundering and ongoing controls, including eight years in Senegal. She holds a Master’s in Audit and Management Control and the CAMS certification, and joined us in 2023 as a compliance analyst. Since 2024, Adja has worked within the custody department, contributing to operations, data quality and internal controls. When she is not with family, Adja likes to unwind through cooking, film and music.

Andrée has been building her accounting expertise for more than 25 years. From her beginnings as a purchasing and accounting clerk through to her current role, she has developed solid experience in accounting management and the coordination of financial operations. Over the years, she has supported companies in managing their financial operations, overseeing cash flow, compliance and accounting obligations. Outside her professional life, Andrée enjoys reading and travel, which open new perspectives for her. She also makes the most of the outdoors to keep her balance.

Honseenta is a lawyer by training, holding a Licentiate in Law (LL.L) and a Juris Doctor (JD) from the University of Ottawa. A member of the Law Society of Ontario, she brings more than 10 years of experience in the financial sector, where she has held a range of roles and developed expertise in compliance, regulation, governance and risk management. Honseenta likes to spend her free time immersed in a good book or out on long walks.

Mason is a business-minded legal advisor who supports the broader group on commercial, corporate, trust, fiduciary, structuring, governance, regulatory, and strategic matters. He works closely with leadership and client-facing teams to assess opportunities, solve complex issues, and implement practical, commercially reasonable solutions. Mason holds a B.A. from McGill University, an LL.B. and J.D. from Université de Montréal, and is a member of the Barreau du Québec. Outside the office, Mason is into travelling, playing guitar, and catching live shows, in addition to waterskiing, hitting the gym, or tackling a home improvement project. When he’s not doing any of that, you’ll likely find him manning the BBQ.

Before joining the team, Guillaume spent more than seven years in senior finance roles within the securities industry, including Vice-President, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer. A CPA and a graduate of HEC Montréal, he specializes in financial management, internal controls, regulatory compliance and the Quebec Immigrant Investor Program (QIIP). His command of IFRS/ASPE accounting standards, risk management and governance allows him to support our clients in the prudent and transparent management of their wealth. A keen cyclist, Guillaume spends his free time away from the numbers, riding the roads and trails of Quebec.

Cynthia ensures the accuracy of our accounting operations: invoice processing and verification, bank reconciliations, supplier payments and account monitoring. Her consistency and attention to detail are central to how smoothly the team runs. Outside the office, you will find her cooking, out for a walk, or in good company with her dog.

A graduate in Paralegal Technology since 2019, Alyssa first put her training to work as a paralegal. Her path then led her to explore new professional avenues, and she now holds a receptionist role where she draws on her organizational sense and her communication skills. Alongside her career, she devotes herself to writing. An accomplished author, she has three published novels to her name, a fourth forthcoming, and several other literary projects in progress.

Pierre Matuszewski is Chair of the Board of Directors of Blue Bridge. From 2009 to 2018, he served as President of Société Générale (Canada), a Schedule II chartered bank and subsidiary of the French bank Société Générale S.A., as well as of its securities subsidiary, Société Générale Capital Canada, where he was also the designated responsible person. Prior to that, he held senior investment banking roles at several prominent Canadian financial institutions. Today, he is an executive coach for leaders in the public and private sectors and serves on the boards of Export Development Canada and its subsidiary FinDev Canada. He is also Vice-Chair of the Board of Governors of McGill University and a member of the advisory committee of Tremcar. In March 2024, he completed an eight-year term as a director of the Canadian Investor Protection Fund. Since 2021, Pierre has also served as a municipal councillor for the Village of Senneville.

Serge Bilodeau is a Senior Advisor at the law firm BCF. He provides guidance on business strategy development, tax planning, business succession, and large-scale transactions.

Before joining BCF, Serge was a tax partner for over 30 years at a major international accounting firm. Drawing on this extensive experience, he advises leading Canadian and international companies and supports Quebec families in the transition of their family businesses. His deep expertise in managing relationships with tax authorities—including the Ministry of Finance—makes him a seasoned strategic advisor and allows him to act as an expert witness in tax-related legal proceedings.

Today, Serge serves on boards of directors and acts as a senior advisor to prominent business families.

Antoinette Bozac is a legal advisor in business, corporate, and commercial law, affiliated with McCarthy Tétrault through its MT>Connect division. She has over 25 years of experience as an executive and board member of publicly traded, private, and Crown corporations across highly regulated sectors, including trusts, pension plans, and financial institutions.

She has held leadership roles in compliance, governance, human resources, legal affairs, public affairs, risk management, and insurance. Antoinette has overseen business and operational strategies, corporate social responsibility initiatives, and stakeholder engagement with investors, shareholders, and regulators. She holds a distinction-level degree from Concordia University, a law degree from McGill University, and certification in Lean Six Sigma.

Marc Doré served as Chief Investment and Asset Management Officer, as well as President of Development and Construction at Cogir Real Estate since joining the company in 2020. He now acts as a strategic consultant and corporate director.

Throughout his career, Marc has gained extensive experience in investment, financing, and management across both private and public companies. His past roles include Managing Director and Chief Investment and Asset Management Officer at SITQ (Ivanhoé Cambridge, Global), Managing Director at Fengate Real Assets, CEO of Seasons Retirement Communities, and Chief Investment Officer at Réseau Sélection. Most recently, he was President and Chief Operating Officer of PEAK Financial Group.

Marc is a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada and holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the Université du Québec à Montréal, as well as executive leadership training from the University of Oxford.

Sophia Bennaceur is a seasoned executive specializing in organizational transformation, financial strategy, and corporate governance. She led Morgan Stanley’s technology center in Montreal, overseeing more than 3,000 employees and driving major initiatives in recruitment, diversity, and operational excellence. She also held executive roles at Société Générale, where she led significant restructuring and regulatory compliance projects.

An engaged board member, she serves on the boards of Equisoft, the Centre du Théâtre d’Aujourd’hui, and the Arion Baroque Orchestra. A graduate of HEC Paris, the University of Exeter, and Paris Dauphine, Sophia is known for her ability to align strategy, performance, and human impact in complex, fast-evolving environments.
